As part of the Royal Entomological Society (RES)'s ‘Grand Challenges in Entomology’ programme, RES members (including our very own Dr. Eleanor Slade) came up with a list of high-priority challenges for entomology, highlighting issues such as funding for taxonomy, causes of insect declines and increasing entomological awareness across various societal sectors.
Through a collaborative prioritisation exercise, suggested challenges were gathered, processed and prioritised and shortlisted. This resulted in a priority list of 61 challenges classified within 11 "Grand Challenge" themes and four broad groupings.
