The TEE Lab is ecstatic in congratulating ASE ecology specialisation graduate and NTU President Research Scholar (NTU PRS), Alexis Goh for being awarded the Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award. This award recognises students for their exceptional accomplishments, strong leadership skills and also demonstration in high potential for their onward contribution to society.

In Alexis's time as undergraduate in the TEE Lab, she expertly studied the effectiveness of Nature Ways in Singapore and helped shaped our understanding of pollinator-plant interactions that exists here, a first in our island city. Her important research "Are Nature Ways in the Way of Nature?" have previously won her the URECA Research Excellence Award and she was also invited to present her research in the 2021 International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR). You can catch her presentation here and read more about her research here.

In addition to recognising Alexis's accomplishments, the Koh Boon Hwee Scholars award also aims to recognise teaching excellence. This gave Alexis the opportunity to honour educators who have made a significant impact in her development. With this, she honoured Asst. Prof Dr. Eleanor Slade, who supervised her Nature Ways research project, and was awarded the Certificate of Honours for her inspirational mentorship over the past 4 years. Also nominated is Ms Chua Xiu Ling, her biology teacher from Nanyang Junior College. Congratulations once again Alexis! Keep doing what you are doing - we are all incredibly proud of you!!
