Integrative Taxonomy

Public Engagement & Education
Through direct interaction and communication with the general public, we aim to foster better understanding of the importance of insects through public talks, participating in initiatives with Gardens by the Bay, and also through creative outreach projects with NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore.

Capacity Building
Through capacity building workshops, we aim to develop and strengthen the skills, abilities, processes and resources that local and regional stakeholders require to ensure quality and continuity in entomological and tropical ecological research.

Science Communication
We recognise the importance of translating our research into compelling, accessible and actionable narratives that inform diverse audiences. Through podcasts, TV and newspaper features, animations, our YouTube channel, and Frontiers for Young Minds articles we aim to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and real-world conservation impact, fostering understanding and curiosity about biodiversity and the environmental challenges and solutions facing the world today.

Science for Conservation and Policy
Our goal is to ensure that our scientific findings are translated directly into effective, evidence-based conservation action and public policy. We serve as a vital link between research and implementation, producing clear, concise deliverables (such as science for policy briefs and IUCN Red Lists) that empower decision-makers to manage biodiversity, critical habitats, and threatened species based on the best available data and evidence-led science.
