Inspired by the recent debates on insect declines and especially our love for insects, multiple TEE Lab members have worked together on this new Frontiers for Young Minds article that shares about the wonderful world of insects, their benefits and threats, and what can be done to better understand and protect insects.

Written in a simple and easily digestible manner, we describe the amazing diversity of insects and their many important ecosystem services, like pollination and nutrient recycling, that are crucial to our survival and health. In the midst of threats to the survival of insects, we also highlight some ongoing efforts and the importance of describing and identifying insect species that are still unknown to science! Finally, we suggest three simple steps that anyone can take to do their part in supporting insects.
