Hi, this is Friederike, research fellow with the TEE Lab. After embarking on the first resampling expedition of the SAFE (Stability of Altered Forest Ecosystems) sites after Covid, on 22nd of March 2024, Calebe Mendes, another TEE Lab research fellow, and I were invited to give two statistics workshops at University Malaysia Sabah in Kota Kinabalu. We introduced the audience to linear, generalised linear and mixed models in the morning and to hierarchical joint species distribution modelling in the afternoon. We enjoyed giving these workshops very much and would like to thank the very engaging audience for the interesting discussions and Prof. Dr. Henry Bernard for the invitation!
