Katie Hopkins

Hi! I’m a PhD student at NTU’s Asian School of the Environment. My research focuses on the anthropogenic stressors faced by urban pollinators, and how we can better design urban habitats to support their conservation. During my undergraduate degree I explored how PM2.5 pollution affects pollinator species abundance, while my masters thesis focused on the role of unmanaged green spaces (“urban wastelands”) in supporting urban pollinators.

My PhD research focuses on the effects of urban air pollution (particularly PM2.5) on pollinators, and the role of green infrastructure in mitigating these impacts.

In my free time I like taking pictures (particularly of insects), travelling, drawing and painting.
