Nethmi Wickramarathna

GRADUATE STUDENT

Hello!  I am a PhD student at NTU ASE, with research interests in dung beetle  ecology and evolution. My work focuses on understanding species  diversity, ecological interactions, and applying environmental DNA  (eDNA) from dung beetle gut contents to reconstruct mammal–beetle  networks. I also investigate how ecological gradients, habitat  variation, and climate shape dung beetle communities, with the broader  aim of uncovering their role in ecosystem functioning and biodiversity conservation.

Outside of research, I enjoy traveling and hiking, bird watching, and relaxing with a good movie.
