RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Hi! I'm a Research Assistant at the TEE lab currently engaged in a project comparing litterfall nutrient recycling between urban and natural forests.

Prior to this, I had graduated from the University of Melbourne, and joined ASE's Forest Ecology lab on a similar smaller-scaled project, in collaboration with NUS.

During my undergraduate studies, I delved into entomological research projects examining ants' social behaviour, butterfly habitat preferences and compared insect diversity between different forest habitats. My previous project with the Forest Ecology lab also briefly compared the litter invertebrate communities between urban forests and parks. These experiences drew my attention to the gaps in our understanding of invertebrates. As such, I'm looking forward to learning about the inconspicuous litter invertebrates and their roles within the ecosystem.

Being relatively new to Singapore, I like to spend my time exploring the country, uncovering its little hidden gems, and trying out exciting outdoor activities. I have been fascinated by the biodiversity this small urban island has to offer and have had the pleasure of meeting many amazing people along the way!
